VOYAGES AND A NEW BOOK IN PROGRESS

Greetings and Welcome Back, My newly restored blog will be up and running after August 1, 2018.

I've added a couple of pages, so now if you're interested in my new book, you can see what's happening on the page A NEW BIOGRAPHY OF LOUISE FITZHUGH, THE AUTHOR OF HARRIET THE SPY. My title in progress in "Sometimes You Have to Lie." I'd love to hear what you think of that.

And if you're visiting to follow my August road trip, please take a look at the page called
"Voyageurs Intrepide."

Hope you'll stay in touch!

EXONERATE ETHEL: SIGN THE PETITION

Dear Friends, Please consider signing the petition to Exonerate Ethel Rosenberg. This is a cause very dear to me. I have always believed that Julius and Ethel's execution was a dreadful injustice, concocted by cruel men for the purposes of power and political gain (one of this true story's worst villains is Roy Cohen, whom Donald Trump claims as one of his mentors.) If you are unfamiliar with this terrible miscarriage of justice, you can find out more about the Rosenbergs on the website below.
The petition will be delivered to President Obama, sometime before he leaves office. So the time to sign is NOWhttp://www.rfc.org/ethel

ANNUAL LABOR DAY TRIBUTE

On Labor day weekend, I want to pay tribute to my father Steve Brody (1917-1998). In this photo he is 17, working for the WPA, President Roosevelt’s great job’s initiative. He left the Bronx, NY to build roads in Yellowstone Park. Here he is with two buddies at “Liberty Cap.”
After this experience my Dad became a Union organizer New York’s garment union chapter, District 5. I am pleased to be "Co-Convener" of the local Chapter of the AAUP.

FLORA DORA

Farewell to a great teacher. “On Writing Well” improved every NF workshop I’ve ever taught.
